I'm going to be 16 weeks tomorrow and I've been doing everything I should be for baby, like laying…

Only side I feel comfortable to sleep on is my left side. I can't sleep on my back because for some reason I'll feel sick to my stomach. And if I sleep on my right side I feel heavy and in pain lol so weird

@lyds, you dont have to worry so much about laying on your side. they just don't want you laying flat on your back because you can cause a circulation problem, try getting a body pillow and just leaning back on it, in like a tilted angle. Don't stress it too much I'm 18weeks and 3days and I'm still sleeping and laying on my stomach, trust me your baby will let you know if he/she is uncomfortable!

Maybe you can set up pillows so you are sort of diagonal. Like one shoulder and one hip are elevated. As baby (and uterus) get bigger, it places pressure on the large blood vessels that run along your spine and can reduce oxygen flow to you and your baby. I got a pregnancy pillow to help keep me on my side because I kept waking up on my back or my belly.

I've talked to two different Obs - both said it's better to sleep than not sleep no matter how you lay. If it's comfortable you're fine--- if you have a choice lay on your left side.
