I'm loosing my mind. my mil keeps asking if I have got stuff set up yet and if I need anything else for the baby. I keep telling her no I have everything. and that no I don't have certain things set up because I just took maternity leave last week. and even though I tell her I have everything she keeps asking If i want to go get more last minute things for the baby. ( and she calls my son by a nickname I hate!!) I don't get how she doesn't understand that I don't need anything else
@sam.g, I think I hate it so much is because I'm 19 and whenever she over helps I feel like she thinks I don't know what my son needs or that I can't get it myself. her daughter had a baby when she was 23 and the daughter needed lots of help with buying things. and I am more stable with a good job. and so for me I feel like she thinks just because her daughter needed so much help I need it to! and I don't I'm far more mature than her daughter
This is exactly how my father in law is. I am only 15 weeks and he is telling me that I need a backwards facing car seat (duh, I know) and all this and that. Listen, old man, I am freaking 33 years old, I am perfectly capable of doing this mom thing without you treating me like a complete idiot.
@supermommy31082, thanks and I know she is excited but I feel like she is overbearing. I want a chance to be a mom. I know I will need help to learn everything but I also I have my mom and it hunk she forgets that
she's just excited but it can turn into annoyance she just needs to back off a Tad she seems like she's gonna be a handful when baby arrives good luck
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Starting TWW. Anyone else?

A Statement from Mom.Life:
Hey everyone!
Last night, a new user began messaging our moms asking for private pictures of toddlers and young children. This is obviously unacceptable behavior, and the account was banned immediately. Although thankfully extremely rare on Mom.Life, several users were understandably upset by this, so we wanted to clarify a few things:
First off, Mom.Life has an absolute zero tolerance policy for child abuse and those who would prey on children. We strive to ...
Maybe she just doesn't see that. I have taken a stance where if he starts talking about baby stuff that I just say, yes, we reaserched it, and if we need any help I will let you know. This is their first grandchild, so they are super stoked. You can also tell your husband to have a talk with her to back off a little.
