It can happen with them even sleeping with you if you fall in a deep a deep sleep...when my son was little I'd sleep him in his bassinet literally right next to my side of the bed so I can just see & feel if he's breathing...once he was about 3 1/2 months I put him in his crib which was in my room but not close enough to look over him...his daddy and I would get up to check up him through the night

with my first bby. well i had just turned 18 so i was a im a mom now i dont need the dr to tell me how to raise my bby. but any way i would let her sleep on her own in her crib... until it was a really cold night. she was a few weeks old.... i was so tired and well at that time i didnt know i had post partum depression. if it wasnt for my mom that heard her faint cry. well i dont wana imagine that pain and anger of my blanket suffocating her. i was so tired i didnt hear her. it goes either way... i never lay my babies on there back to sleep at night. my first born had real bad colics which alot of the time she threw up... so i was scared of her choking in her own vomit...

I co slept with my son as well! Dr tell you not to do this not to do that! Then give you all this information about SIDS and other baby things you help but be paranoid!! I know I was for sure!! But everything will be okay!!

idk if this will make you feel better but i hope so...from a medical standpoint SIDS is unavoidable...it's inevitable. if a baby has a blanket or stuffed animal & suffocates..that's just that..suffocation. SIDS babies usually have an undetectable brain lapse. i worry constantly too..means you're a good mom.

just watch your baby I cosleep with my daughter & she 7 months she been sleeping with me since the hospital.
