I believe in this obviously not all of it but for the most part, there's different situations and different reasons to why you should put your husband or kids first. Ever since we had our little boy Evan I paid little to no attention to my husband in many ways little did in know that by doing that I was ruining us, now I put him first before Evan whenever I can. It cannot always be just the kids in my opinion

My mother puts my dad before me and she told me a bunch of times. I wouldn't ever put my fiancé before my daughter no matter what. He can leave whenever he wants but she'll always be my daughter period!

Kids eat first then we eat that's how I feel

just an example lol.. idk never thought about it my mom always put my dad first but also had time for us as well never felt like it was always him and not us.. I guess that's how it is with my family my husband and kids are just as important... but if my husband wasn't worth it I wouldn't put him first imo

I know I always serve myself last, being only my bf and I. but I know when Jr is here, they'll get served together...me always being last. that's just how I do it tho
