Ok advice please. I went to the doc today as I just am not sleeping and I got some zopiclone sleeping pills that I used to have before I was preg. Obviously not good to take anything but they said as long as you have a low does and not regular then it will be ok. I guess I just want reassurance that I am not going to harm my lil boy's brain as I really need to sleep X

my midwife said take piriton to make you drowsy, and it's safe in pregnancy

I'm on medication mine is mirtazapine sleeping and there a form antidepressants that are 15mg was on them before I was pregnant but they was 30mg I stopped when found out was pregnant but went back on them 15mg as was only sleeping 2hrs a night. mine have risks to baby to, im being monitored, but when I have baby I will be staying in hospital an extra 2-3 days, I also see a phscyatrist (sorry can't spell it) every 4 weeks. which helps. I feel bad for taking them but I need to sleep @kellym x

Ahh well your doing it all the right way hun and yes you need sleep.
I would literally have 1 then leave it a few weeks that's all. it's only 7.5mg so very low so I really don't think but will do any harm I am just a huge worrier X

Мама сына (1 год), беременна (22 нед.)
Anything prescribed is usually safe in low doses and for short periods of time for example I was prescribed codeine for my SPD when I was pregnant with my son and I was allowed 2 tablets a day (with paracetamol) I was prescribed them around 34/35 weeks and I just used to take one tablet after a hot bath before climbing into bed just so I could get some sleep.. Some nights I didn't feel the need for one so it was low doses maybe every other night. My son was born at 38 weeks with no withdrawals or problems and in fact is a very advanced 13m old now :) it's nice to see you're aware and don't want to cause harm some people take them anyways without thinking about the effects it can leave a baby.. But in answer to your question is say yes it's safe, small doses and not to be using them for a long period of time (sorry for the essay) xx

I am, been threw a lot since last April. it is a low dosage, I'm a big worrier that's another reason why I couldn't sleep. xc

No that's brilliant thank you. I really am careful I haven't had any alcohol (I do miss a glass) or caffeine or pain killers since I found out I was pregnant as I want to do everything I can for the little man. I just need 1 full nights sleep so thank you for that. I really do worry too much. Glad you have a healthy lil boy 😊💙 X

Well I hope things are getting better for you Hun. Yes the worry thing is horrible isn't it! You talk yourself in circles. Your not alone. 😊 X
