Sorry this is kind of long but I need to get it off my chest... My mom says my husband has taken away too much of my independence and I don't exactly disagree with her... she's right for the most part but all I do all day is just sit home and take care of our son, if I had more independence I wouldn't know what to do with it... I don't have many friends to hang out with and the few I do have are guys and my husband wouldn't be too happy if I hung out with any of them. I guess I've just gotten used to it... I have only 2 girlfriends and one of them works all the time and the other has college an no car. I have a car but it's not on the road, it needs to be inspected and one of the tires need to be fixed, since I'm a stay at home mom I don't have any money to get it on the road, my husband was supposed to get it taken care of for me but he's been saying that for months and it still sits and is almost 2 months late on payments... my mom said that maybe he doesn't want me having my car on the road because that would be too much independence and I have to admit, I've thought the same thing a few times. Also when ever we need anything from the store or if we want some fast food he always picks it up after work so we don't have to go out again and so I'm always stuck in the house... I can never really go anywhere because he says it would be too much of a hassle.... I think he just wants to keep me locked in the house... how do I go about confronting him about about what is on my mind without getting into a fight?

@tahtahme, just from experience really... he's always been the jealous type and he never liked when I went out places by myself because he would just assume I'd leave him for someone else and there was a time where he was tempted to just let me car be repossessed because he didn't want to pay for it and I never drove it because he would always get mad if I left the house... he works for the Post office, he gets $800 every 2 weeks and he also gets social security for disability...

I mean maybe it really is a hassle to him to haul the baby to the store? I know it is for us! I wouldn't say that to him unless you are absolutely sure he has money he could be spending on the car and wont do it...cuz maybe he really is low on cash? how are you sure of all this? Maybe youre just restless from being at home?
