sooooooo um I breastfeed and haven't had my period yet I'm 2 months postpartum and today I asked my boyfriend to get a pregnancy test on his way home from work. I'm on birth control but ran out two weeks ago and it slipped my mind. I breastfed with my son and didn't have a period for 8 months. am I freaking out about nothing?

@v_daloca, didn't work for my cousin, she's about 3 months along with a 8 month old because her ob told her breastfeeding alone would be a good contraceptive... And now they think it's twins since there's sets in our family, I wouldn't trust it 😂😂

They say breast feeding if you breast feed about every two hours it's a natural birth control....

I'm 6 1/2 months pp and still no period. If you're exclusively breastfeeding (and pumping when you're away) it can delay your period from returning for quite some time. Some women who breastfeed past a year won't start their period until they stop breastfeeding. It's all within the realm of normal. Take a test if you're unsure, but it's totally normal for your period to not return while breastfeeding. I didn't breastfeed my first born but my period didn't come back until 5 months pp.

Probably. Getting pregnant while breastfeeding is possible though. But your period will be thrown off quite a bit.
