I am so sorry. Do whatever you need to do to grieve and find closure for yourself. If you think it would help you to name her, do it. If you feel like you need a burial, plant a tree or flower in her honor as a type of ceremony for yourself. Sometimes people tell you to try to forget about everything, but you may need something different to heal. Hoping you find peace and comfort. ❤️

@nia.fish, dilation & Evacuation or a dilation & curretage... surgical procedure to remove the baby basically.. since she's no longer living inside of me..

@jennanicole, prayers to you and your fam hun😢i lost my baby at 10 weeks last year but baby measured 8 weeks. Had to have a D&C but i passed the baby and sac whole in preop and we put baby in a specimen cup.. my husband stole the baby and put baby in ice. We were able to find a funeral home who put baby in a teenie urn. since sac was mostly fluid they had to dry it out with formaldehyde. now we have baby at home.. we did a lot to remember the baby.. dove release.. got tattoos.. named baby although we didnt know the gender. we just celebrated baby's life whenever we could. april 13 was when i started bleeding and consider it the death anniversary. we are going to celebrate that baby and this baby that day

@reina_den, thank you. do you mind if I ask about the D&C? like, did it hurt/were you knocked out? I don't want to feel anything during it.. did they give you footprints or something at least? I've been bleeding a little bit today, but not much.. I go for my dilators on Wednesday & procedure on Thursday... & I am so sorry for your loss... they said she was measuring 16/17.5 weeks & I should be 19 weeks right now.

@jennanicole, ask me whatever questions you like.. not a prob.. most of the pain I felt were the night before the surgery but little did i know that the pain was actually contractions and my body preparing to expel the sac and baby. They put me out for the whole thing and let me tell you that part was awesome.. i woke up not even knowing they did anything to me. There was slight cramping afterward but they gave me 2doses of IV morphine and after that i felt fine. no footprints baby was too small and as i mentioned my husband stole the baby and took baby home. you can ask your doctor for footprints cuz at 16weeks baby would be more developed. They wil take a piece of the tissues they take out and send it out for testing.

@reina_den, did they give you dilators the day before? (that's what they're giving me apparently...) I can't take morphine because I'm allergic to it so idk what they're giving me.... :/ but it helps knowing that I'll be out for the whole thing & not remember anything.

nope i was schedule for april 17 and didnt do anything before hand.. i got fentanyl and versed before the procedure.. yea i was out completely

no prob message me anytime.. i'm sorry for yours too... and just know youre baby is in heaven and your still a mom don't let anyone tell you different. the next few months are guna be hard.. you and your bf will grieve differently and that's ok but you guys are guna need to be each other's biggest support system to get through it all together.. you'll have your rainbow baby soon enough😊 did they tell you if you needed to wait to start trying again? OB told us to wait 2months to rebuild uterine lining back @jennanicole

@reina_den, sorry just seeing this now for some reason.. thank you so much, & they said 1-2 weeks for sex.. but they gave me the depo shot. & said if & when I decide to try again I just stop getting the shot every 3 months or so. Everything's a little foggy still today. I got footprints! we donated her body to fetal research. & my boyfriend didn't want to name the baby so I just gave her my last name.
