ladies so i cant get the babys insurance until i have her social security and i was gonna get her medicad but i obv have to bring her to her first apointment . do i just walk in with her to theapointment or have to make an apointment idk how i would do that with no insurance or social yet .

I'd make the appointment when she's born. But before then, find the doctor you want to take her to that accepts Medicaid. Let them know you are getting her Medicaid. It will be considered presumptive eligibility.
They should make it for you before you leave the hospital. That's what they did for my son.

You shouldn't have to pay outta pocket, just tell them you're working on getting her insurance. Medicaid will cover her appt when you get it.

ohh . I personally would take my son in regardless and just tell them your in the process of getting him medicaid but he needs to be seen and when you get the insurance card just take it in
they should cover him under yours until he can have his own.
if you have medicaid your son automatically has medicaid and they'll still see him just when his next appointment comes take the social . That's what I did. my son was born in February and his social didn't come in until April
