As a fellow hair stylist and mama to be, I know how exhausting doing hair for 8-10 hours in the shop can be, let alone when pregnant. She should seriously symptathize.. and she should probably realize you don't make appointments with hair stylists without even talking to them.

uhhh no...your doing her a solid by even touching her hair...she shouldnt have opened her mouth to someone else without asking you...I would just say forget it and go home to sleep.

@kim5309, that's what I'm thinking. I would much rather spend the time off of my feet at home. I spend 8 hours a day on my feet at school and 8-9 hours on my feet at target at night. The last thing I want is to spend my night off doing hair after I have been at school all day doing it. Sleep just sounds so much better. @kbaker exactly, it was the fact that she just expected me to do her friends hair without any arguments or even consulting me first!! Knowing that both are difficult color melts. I'm just so mad about the whole thing. @andreajeffries I'm seriously getting to that point, I try to be nice but I am at school for 8 hours a day. Book an appointment and don't ask me to do your hair on my night off free of charge. My skills are not free. @msvanessa27 lol she's literally the only "girlfriend" I have and I honestly stay more pissed at her for her awful attitude than anything. No went to hair school as well, but my roommate would do that... It's your time.. And school is more important. They can "make a day" out of going to the school is you have an open salon... Or wait till you have a free day. Don't think it's hormones... That's just you being damn smart.

Yes @sashleythomp my friend did cosmetology school while pregnant and worked serving at night...it's a lot of standing..go with your gut...rest is always better while pregnant...don't over do yourself for someone who clearly is just wanting to look at themselves instead of caring

I get this all the time. During this pregnancy I finally had to tell people Im not doing hair anymore because everyone expects me to do complex colors and cuts but not pay me a dime. Nope. I finally told everyone either you pay me or no more hair and everyone just went away. Go figure right.

@mommabearto2, it's crazy how people want to take advantage of a skill that is work! It's serious work and people don't understand that. @kim5309 I'm definitely going to have to start looking out for myself as apposed to other people. I'm sick of people walking all over me.

Wow that is super annoying. I honestly am not even sure what a color melt is but I know from experience that when I had a box color on my hair getting it redone took a ton of time. The fact that they aren't respecting the fact that you need hours at school and your friend didn't even ask you about doing someone else's is just plain disrespectful. I would tell her to eat shit lol

@mommabearto2, and to be completely honest I'm not comfortable with doing a color melt much less two COMPLEX color melts because I've never done one! And I told her that and she won't reply to me. So I've decided that she can just screw herself.

Sounds like she is not a very good friend! I would be honest and tell her she can either come alone to where you want her to come or she can not come at all! Her friend can come get one another night if you still need the hours. I wouldn't let people take advantage of you because if they get away with it once they'll never stop. But it's most definitely not just your hormones!!

You basically told her. I am not comfortable doing this and dont want you looking like a mess if I happen to mess up. Yet you want to add another melt into that. O think your friend is extremely selfish when you were just trying to be considerate for your friend and yourself.
