Yesterday my daughter kept complain that she really needed to couch but it was hard to. Then she said she got sent to the nurse because of her throat but the nurse wasn't there so they did nothing. Around 5 my daughter had a high fever. Gave her Tylenol and that usually kills the fever for good. Nope we've been giving it go her every 4 hours like clock work because of her body aches. Anyways today I had a doctors appointment with my cardiologist and made sure to have my daughters appointment over an hour after my appointment just in case. Go see my doctor and get in a room immediately so I'm thinking yes I will get seen soon. NOPE. We sat in the room for over an hour. I had to leave the room and reschedule my appointment to barely make it to my daughters appointment. Then we head over to my daughters pediatrician just for them to tell me they won't see her cause I dont have a $75 co-pay. I went off saying my daughter has a high fever and her tonsils are swollen to the point were she can barely breathe, can't drink until an hour after she takes Tylonel and has body aches to the point that she can't even sleep. I have never been turned away because of a co-pay they usually go let's just bill this to you then. Plus we are topped out on our co-pay and have been for 4 months because of all the appointments I go to. Now waiting for our immediate care to open up to take my daughter in. My friend who is a nurse looked at my daughter and said it looks like my daughter has a mutated version of Strep Throat and now I'm concerned cause my doctor told me that if I get a fever and it doesn't go away within 6 hours I have go be admitted, if I show signs of the flu again I have to be admitted and if I'm around someone who has strep I have to be admitted just in case. Immediate care opens at 5 though and my doctor leaves the office at 5. Just having a rough day. Was suppose to see 2 doctors today and we didnt even get to see one. Just grinds my gears.
