Question for mommies that are breastfeeding and receiving wic. I know they give you healthy food while you're pregnant but what about after? If they're not giving you formula what are you getting?

they give you more food. but they have different packages you can choose just incase you do want some formula
They take you off and only give you baby food when the baby turns 4 months
I've asked and they told me it's about the same as while your pregnant but you get more. Since you're body has to take in more to produce more milk. Also once the Lil one is about 6 months you'll start getting baby food and as long as you solely breastfeed he/she will get meat baby food as well as the fruits and veggies.
Because when you're breast feeding you automatically need more nutrients that's why they do that :) I want to breastfeed too but I was thinking about doing both to see which I like more and they are even willing to give you more food and formula if you choose to do both
i believe they give you vouchers like the ones you receive right now...i am breastfeeding my baby but i get infamil because i told them i was going to bottle feed. And with the infamil i still receive milk, eggs, cheese, cereal, juice and fruits and veggies.
@makdenb, thank you! I plan on giving my son breast milk and was curious to know what my wic would be giving me instead of formula
I've only talked about it with them but they said they would provide more food like fruits& veggies along with cheese and yogurt.
