I'm 22 weeks. my breasts have started leaking out this clear sometimes cream color liquid, I'm guessing it's colostrum? but my husband is dying to s**k on my breasts and try it and also wants to try my milk (when it comes in) is this safe?
you will continue to produce colostrum until the placenta detatches. it's 100% safe. its the same thing your baby will be drinking.
@happilymarriedmommaoffour, thank you! that makes me feel so much better knowing I'm not the only one who is probably going to let their husbands do it!!! I mean I love when he plays with my breasts and if he wants to try it how can I say no? unless he'd be hurting the baby then it wouldn't happen lol
@mommagotbump16, that's what I told him! I said I've heard most people talk about how horrible it tastes and now that I've started leaking it he still wants to try
it's absolutely fine. my husband is the same way! he said that the milk is sweet the colostrum didn't have much flavor according to him. fair warning while breastfeeding if you don't wear a bra its like liquid fireworks. my sister warned me and I was still surprised when it happened
It shouldn't cause an issue with your supply coming in unless he's doing it often. Occasionally won't hurt it any!
@luvmyboldens, don't hate. I love my husband and if he really wants to try it and it's perfectly safe I will let him.
@ehughes41 if it is colostrum, and he does you know "get a mouthful" every now and then, will I still produce it? or will he be taking it away from our baby?
Should be, but I doubt he'll like it! :P
It should be safe! With my first pregnancy my fiancé didn't know it'd come out when he did that and he got a huge taste lol he didn't want too, however. And with this pregnancy if he even squeezes too rough it squirts out like crazy and I'm 23 weeks lol
So I'm trying to order my breast pump though my insurance but I'm not due until December do I have to wait to order it??
I'm still trying to get a feel for this app but are there any STAHM here?
Trying to get a breast pump through my insurance feels about impossible 😣
United health care is awful. I have a prescription for a pump, but they're seriously making me jump through hoops. My insurance will cover a non medical gender test no questions asked, but try and order a pump to feed my kid, and they act like I'm asking for $10,000!!
I'm determined to get this pump for free. If not, guess we will have no choice but to buy one 😡
Okay ladies I need help . I'm trying to keep my skin clear . I wash my face and use face moisturizer but I'm still getting pimples .
Trying to dry my breast milk up but I'm engorged and hurting what can I do to help the process?
It's safe (: although my MW's told me not to stimulate my milk supply this early. Didn't say why though. /:
