Has anyone on here tested positive for group b strep while pregnant?

Yes I did they just give you antibiotics when ur in labor

yes i did.... they will either give you an injection or an iv fluid antibiotic when you go into labor

@amberlynn95, @beebe thank you both. I just seen my results said positive and was curious as to what they do and if its dangerous for the baby.

I did during my second pregnancy, never got tested during my first as I delivered before the test.... if delivering vaginally they will just give you antibiotics during labor, if you are having a c-section it doesn't really effect anything

@sarahdrew, with my first daughter I tested negative so its all new to me testing positive. I'm understanding that as long they give me the antibiotics it can't hurt her in any way, right?

that's my understanding.... I had a c-section so I didn't have to really worry about my positive....

yep, I did with my first. Like they said, you just have to get antibiotics while in labor, no big deal :)

I did with my first 2 pregnancy an they said most likely with this one as well
