Has anyone had to deal with the in laws when it came to naming their child? My husband wants to spell the name one way and I want the spelling different. We decided to put it to a vote but he cheated! He told his family the way he wanted it spelt so of course all of them voted for it. I feel cheated now.

Like why can't I just spell it differently? I am seriously starting to get so upset that he did that and I am about to change the name all together. -_-

He wants Trevor Mason Nichols

And I want Trevor Maison Nichols.

At first I wanted two middle names, he said no.

So I wanted it to be Mayson, he said no.

What is wrong with the "I"?

My daughters name is Juliet Rose, it's different. Not many people with the name Juliet.

Trevor was my husbands idea but Trevor Mason just seems plain to me.

I love when names are spelt original instead of the same way! I say he should let you have the middle name, since he chose the first name. It's only fair. Not to mention you'll be the one giving birth to him, so I think you have every right to choose the spelling! He's your baby, so don't let the in laws affect your choice! @haileybabycakes

make sure you fill out the birth certificate. sneak that I in there. He picked the first name, it's only fair you pick the middle. @haileybabycakes

I'd do it your way anyways, my mom made a HUGE deal out of it because I didn't incorporate her name with my daughters, but I used their grandpas middle name as my sons, he's your son only you and your husband should have a say

I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. Quick question my mother in law middle name and grandma in law middle names are fay. But one is spelled FAY and the other one is spelled FAYE. I’m not close with either of them people and their very rude to me and judge my every move but my husband insisted that if we have a girl I have to use that middle name. So my question is can I spell FAY like this FAEY? I just want it be a little different or is there any other way to spell it other then the 2 ways? I cried, slept on my daughter's bedroom floor for a bit then went back to bed and cried myself to sleep....got my hopes up for nothing! 😔😭
