when are mom's starting to feed baby food? my boy is 2 months old and some people are telling me they started around 2-3 months.. I don't go "by the book" I go by what baby likes and was just wondering when other people started..

6 months. Their digestive systems are not ready for food even though people will tell you otherwise.
Wait until at least 5-6 months! 2 months is way too early. Babies don't need solid foods that early and it's not good for them. 4-5oz of milk every 2 1/2-3 hours is normal until about 6 months of ago.
I had always been told (by wic) to wait until 6 months but my Dr told me I could start cereal at 4 months and baby food at 5 and to start with veggies.... my daughter is about 5 1/2 months and I'm gonna start food tomorrow
and how much formula/breast milk were they eating when you started to switch over. he eats 5oz every 4-5 hours during the day.. I think he's a little piggy!

I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Birth Plan Rant
I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
