My baby is jaundice and her pediatrician told me to breastfeed 10 min each side and then feed her 2 oz of formula:(. It makes me so sad she doesn't like .:( I hope this is just a small bump in the road and I won't need to supplement.

Good. My milk came in and I went to a lactation consultant because she wasn't latching well and we finally have things figured out I think!

We were released from hospital Sunday and had to end up going to dr for the next 3 days so she could get her little foot pricked and they could take blood because she was jaundice. She wasn't eating enough and lost too much weight for comfort so for a few days I would supplement with formula. She is 2 weeks old now and strictly breastfed.
I'm not sure... I know they have taken her blood twice and she hasn't had to go under lights. But I have to keep taking her in to get checked. The reason she said formula after feedings is because baby hasn't been popping enough and she says that helps get rid of jaundice.
My son was jaundiced and I was never told to give formula. Were your baby's levels really high?
Oh that's awesome! I guess will take things one at a time. It's hard especially with hormones running wild. Everything makes me cry lol
