My sons 16 months old and I got my first PP period around 14-15 months PP. He still nurses a lot and through out the night. I found out I'm pregnant a few weeks ago and I have been really excited since I wanted them close in age. However, Thursday night I had some light brown discharge and then Friday morning I started to get period-like blood loss. I went to the ER and they did some tests to confirm my pregnancy since it's hard to get into an OBGYN up here, it came back positive (both the urine and blood tests) and I had an hcg level of 6000. They did an ultra sound vaginally since they couldn't see anything with the external one. They couldn't find a heart beat and I'm measuring less than what I thought I would be based off of my last period. They said my cervix was still closed and I would have to go back in a few days to get levels retested and another ultra sound. My question is has anyone else had a threatened miscarriage and continued heavy bleeding and did the baby make it? Does the bleeding have something to do with not getting a period for so long?
