So I had a doctor appt yesterday and found out that I have to go March 29 for a ultrasound and I have to get a EKG done ? Plus he gave me iron pills and wouldn't tell me why cause they haven't even taken any blood from me yet! Do you guys know why he gave me iron pills and a EKG he said my heart my beating to fast but from what I know when you are pregnant your heart does beat a little fast
Iron pills aren't dangerous but can push your tummy so don't take them without food. Your doctor may put all his pregnant patients on iron.
I might have to find another doctor because the nurses didn't even know anything . And I kept asking them why am I taking pills if you never took a blood sample ? They said we don't know I don't wanna take anything if I don't need to but I am already 9 wks pregnant and this was my first time seeing someone cause I had to change my insurance
Could be from your heart rate and medical history that they see you have low blood or blood iron. But make sure to advocate for yourself and make your med staff keep you informed. They might not be the type to do it naturally but once you ask then legally they have to inform you..
You might be anemic, low iron and fast heart rate. and the EKG is just a safety measure
Girl I tell you doctors do the confusing things, and if it's puzzling you I would call and talk to a nurse. Out of no where they made me take an early glucose test, because my height and weight didn't equal, and I have a history of diabetic family members. I got my results and I passed with flying colors!
But if it confuses you, and they didn't give you a reason. Talk to a nurse.
my doctor always ups my iron intake when pregnant
