She has been the worst. like, she's pleasant enough and isn't rough or hateful, but she's very nonchalant when it comes to my concerns, worries, and questions! I'm not a first time mom, but I was 17 with my son and I hid it until I was 7 months and even then never had a set OB because I was considered high risk and my insurance changed at 8 1/2 mos and my old Dr didn't accept it. I had to receive my last prenatal care at the ER. hell, I didn't even know that there was a mucous plug and cried when I lost it lol. so finding out I was pregnant early on with this one and wanting to do right by the baby, I've been very disappointed in her assistance along the way @ilyric

I have a birth plan!! I researched somethings before I went about it so I could stay on top of things! We are doing the Bradley Method, so today at my appt I told my doctor and she was encouraging and even told me one of the hospitals had a tub I could labor in! Made me feel good! We discussed epidural and under what circumstances she would push it if complications, but totally okay with our natural birth plan!

sounds like a very negligent Dr! @babyreeves

I haven't preregistered either. I asked about it a few weeks ago and she was like, oh, well some women do it and some don't. there was a packet on it in the welcome to pregnancy folder we gave you at your first appointment. uh, hello! that was almost 9 months ago, lol.

@babyreeves, Are you serious?! Birthing plans are important... heck, that is essentially what the preregistration is, and I don't think I could have kept my sanity if I didn't have one.

thebump.com has a really good useful template :)

my dr wouldn't even really talk to me about mine. she was like, well we don't really discuss birth plans. you could write down any questions you have and bring them in and we will talk about it. But you're a second time mom so I'm sure you have it figured out. if I weren't so far along I'd have switched Drs.
you can start whenever I know we've already discussed mine and it's been signed off on and in the computer

You can start now but it won't be discussed thoroughly until you're further along

so I don't have to worry about it now I'm only 16 weeks?
RobbieМногодетная мама (6 детей)
It should be taken to your 35-36 wk Dr appointment to discuss :)

I'm so sorry that you're experiencing that @babyreeves I had the same ob for my first 3 children, towards the end of my 3rd pregnancy I felt that she was going against my wishes of not wanting to be induced with pitocin since I about died with my 2nd due to it. So at 34 weeks, I switched to another town and another OB. The new OB finished my prenatal care for child #3 and all of my care and delivery of little Kaulder James.
