I'm willing to say 99.9% of doctors aren't like this, and a higher number of nurses would knock a doc out for trying this, and an anesthesiologist isn't going to knock anyone out let alone give them a spinal block without consent out of fear of being sued(not saying her story isn't true) so don't be scared

Tbh, if she was gonna die or her baby was going to die why tf would she not consent to s csection? It's not birth rape, it's complications during delivery that are used to keep people alive. These ladies can take a nap.

@theemmariefactor, it may have not been that urgent. She could've "stalled" in her labor and some docs will push c-section over anything else. (Still not sure about how any nurses would let that happen but idk)

Stupid. People get actually raped. I don't believe any of this crap, and I think it's disgusting. Call it a traumatic birth experience all you want, a c section is not rape. And I sincerely doubt anyone held that other lady down.

I agree. Birth rape is not a good name for this. And I'm sure the doc wouldn't just opt for a c section if it wasn't in the best interest for her or her baby. Maybe sooner than she would have liked. But ultimately it was probably needed. I feel bad for a lot of them but I don't think it's rape in any form @theemmariefactor

As someone who worked in l&d I can't even fathom these scenarios. Not saying it couldn't happen but they sound like exaggerations and misunderstandings. Super scary but please know that these are not the norm.

yeah so long as you have a doctor that you like and trust then you will be fine :) ask whatever you need to leading up to your delivery in order to feel comfortable. If you really trust your doctor, if she tells you a c section is the best option for you, you will trust her and do it. And if you like her, she is probably not the type to do anything to hurt or disrespect you in the way described above
