hi ladies! so I had a c section yesterday and I'm wondering if you have any tips for dealing with recovery? thanks! 😊
@lil_bigmama, omg I already feel the gas lol. they ask me if I've passed gas so I can eat solids and I'm like oh yeah super gassy!
Eat lots of prunes. Use a hair dryer on cool mode on your scar. Keeping it dry is super important. I had a csection a month ago. Barely even need ibuprofen now. :)
use that belly band they give u & take that 800 milligram Ibuprofen like they tell u & walk as must as u can that trapped Gass hurts bad
@jess1ca,
No it won't stick to it if it's dry.. but if u want extra comfort u can put on of ur pads on sideways on the cut. and the binder doesn't hurt at all.. if it does somethings wrong.. it's just a big elastic wrap u out around ur belly... mine didnt even touch the incision. . but let me tell u, it helps so much when moving around..
@jess1ca I'm telling you... you will laugh and it will hurt I cussed my hubby out
@justmarriedhavingaboy I didn't have a dressing on mine. Just medical tape and they did the dissolving stitches from the inside so I didn't have any staples or stitches to remove I actually recovered faster and better from the c-section then from the 4th degree tearing and full episiotomy from my first
@jess1ca I would tell you a funny store about my husband and a high tech toilet that was at my hospital but remind me and I'll tell you later... needless to say I literally busted stitches
Don't let it dry up either with the dressings on it! hurts to peel them off 😯😧
@karnamarie, omg I hope I recover like you!!! how often do you wear the belly band
@jess1ca No, it feels amazing. The incision is numb because the nerves have been cut and I promise you I cried day 2 after my c section and at day 5 I was up cooking dinner
@justmarriedhavingaboy, yeah it feels a little more painful than I expected not gonna lie lol
hahaha yes I've already discovered I don't like laughing right now 😁@karnamarie omg sneezing would be awful
ok @karnamarie that is very reassuring! cause I'm like damn.. and @luvmyboyz @3.26.16 I need this belly band. @mommyro30 does it hurt to wear? seems like it would press on the insicion
@jess1ca Ask for one! I took mine home and I still wear it! (7 month post c section) just makes you feel like everything isn't going to fall out. Don't be a hero take your meds if you need it. Take it easy and for the live of God don't sneeze, cough or laugh
also... if they haven't started u on stool softner, throw a fit til they start... i was in so much pain and scared to push bc I thot my incision was gonna bust.. it wasn't going to but it feels like it will!
Just relax and try not to do to much for the next couple weeks, make sure somebody is there to help you with you and baby. And don't lift anything heavier than your baby, its not an easy recovery. So like I said just make sure you have help :)
I just had one. can't feel my legs and stuff yet. she gave me a belly binder she'll be putting on in a few
The first 2 days are the WORST once you get out of bed that first time and poop for the first time (tmi sorry) it gets so much easier. It will shock you how fast you recover.
My mom swears by it. I wasn't a fan but totally chug it! Don't let yourself get backed up. It's torture!!!!
