Can anyone tell me about their medical labor inductions?? I'm so nervous! I'm already 2.5 cm dilated and 90% effaced, so doc thinks cervidal will kick me into labor and I shouldn't need pitocin! Any stories, good or bad???
@peanuts1mom having your water broken doesn't hurt at all. I have had it done with all four of my little ones.
Oh man! That suckssss I hope I don't have to get induced, I'm really hoping I'll be able to walk during labor I heard it helps some women! @amandafikes
Pitocin can cause your heart rate to raise causing you to become dizzy. If effects each woman differently. I was so dizzy I threw up - only once but it was horrible. @emkasting
@amandafikes why don't they let you walk after it? I don't know if I'll have to be induced I'm only 32 weeks but I'm curious!
I already had the epidural so I couldn't feel a thing. I was in labor for 10 hours before they broke it so I was in a lot of pain from back labor so I was drugged up already. But I've heard different things. Some people say it hurts and others say it's just uncomfortable. All I felt was the water gush out and the pressure from the hook going in.
does having them break your water hurt at 2.5 cm? I'm afraid they will have to for me @alusardi
I had cirvadil then the foley bulb then pitocin then they broke my water. The pitocin just made my contractions stronger. I was able to walk around with it.
When I was medically induced I was 2.5 cm dilated but they had to give me pitocin because I was taking to long to progress on my own. Unfortunately even with the pitocin I was still stuck at 2.5 cm until they broke my water and it was after that when my labor progressed. I hated it. If it was medically needed I would never do it again
I had pitocin with my first. Hated it! They won't let you up to walk once they give it to you. I wanted to walk so bad!
thank you @amandafikes
