Quick question. I remember them telling me in the hospital that if you don't release the milk I your boobs you can be come very sick and it can clog up in the back. I haven't been able to pump the last two days, I am a server. Last night, I feel intensely horrible, constant sweating, could not be come comfortable, huge headache & stomach aching. When I woke up I could see the veins in my boobs & there was a big red spot on my boob as well. They're a little better today and I'm feeling okay now. Just wondering if that could be related to me not pumping

My aunt said she would put a warm pad on her breasts ....and it would soften up the ducts and she would just start leaking everywhere.....so like a warm/hot compress.....I hear works like a charm....the infection you can get is mastitis....if I were you to prevent it try to pump even when your not feeding baby but just so you can clear that milk out.

It can casue some clogged ducts and infection. I used to take hot showers and that would help release the milk.
