feeling so bad..

I'm breastfeeding and I have been for a month now (my daughter was born 2.14.2016) and it's been really rough on me. some days I am feeling really confident and other days it's too much for me. my daughter loves breastfeeding and that's why I feel so bad... I'm really thinking i should go to formula. that way her dad can help with her more... he has expressed to me that he feels like he didnt have a good bond with her unlike with our son. our son was formula fed and he is so close to his dad. another reason I want to go to formula is because I have a toddler to tend to also. breastfeeding makes it harder for me to bond with him. it is starting to make me feel really down about everything (it's not PP) I know that breastfeeding is considered to be what's best for her (I'm NOT against formula feeding babies, nor am I bashing mother's who choose that for their baby..) and I feel like I chose to breastfeed and so now that's what she's used to and so I'm stuck with breastfeeding because I feel like a bad mom or that I'm giving up on her...

don't get me wrong, I love feeding her and I love the bond I have with her.. and I'm scared that she will feel like we lost this bond that breastfeeding has given us. so I've been feeling emotional about this. I feel so awful about deciding to switch so I just can't bring my self to do it yet. any other mommies feel like this?

As far as the father not feeling the "bond" there are other ways to create it, like skin to skin.

If you're tired of the cluster feeding go ahead and switch. Honestly, though the cluster feedings should stop eventually. I know how tough it can be on your body, and if you're done then just switch to formula. It's not as good as real milk but many moms choose to stop breastfeeding because it's too much for them. Do what you think is best.

my daughter cluster feeds and if I pumped to keep up with how frequently she eats I'd be connected to my pump all day.. and I have a low response to a pump.

I pump and bottle feed and I think it's the perfect solution for you! Then you or your husband can feed her and she will still get those nutrients!

always think about pumping first before making the decision to go to formula. not bashing formula fed babies but breast is best.

I was going to ask what she asked. many mother's have successfully expressed and bottle fed breast milk only.

I pump and bottle feed my baby. it helps to have hubby help. especially at night where we can trade off

have you thought about pumping and you could make bottles ahead and have your hubby feed her while your pumping

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

Will your Mom be in the delivery room?

Will your Mom be in the delivery room? My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.

Mamas I really need some advice or just a listening ear, I really don't know what to do, or if I'm overreacting, but my baby's father and I are together, when we met and I got pregnant he was here working, he went back to work out of town after I found out I was pregnant and only comes back once a month, he supports me financially, which was mostly his choice bc he makes good money, we are doing fine on money.. but I'm almost 31 weeks and as I get closer I'm really worried about raising my daughter on my own, he plans to continue to come back only once a month even when she is born and it really scares me, even though I know we will need the money since I won't be working, I still feel like I'm going to be alone raising our daughter, when we talk about it all he has to say is he doesn't see any other way, but he's never lived here, let alone had a job here, and I know of so many places where he could get a job easily when he's here for one of his monthly visits and he just keeps saying that he can't quit his job and move here without having a stable job, and I keep telling him he can, find a job before he quits this one, but yet he's not even trying to find a job when he's here, he hasnt researched job openings or called anywhere, sometimes I feel like he's just comfortable with what is happening and it really hurts me to think about my daughter not having him here, and raising her alone, for one he's never been around a baby, doesnt have a clue how to raise one, and has never even HELD a baby, so I feel like if he only comes back once a month then he's never going to learn how to help with her, let alone know her, and her recognize him when he is here... every time we talk about it, it just turns into an argument and I'm to the point where I feel like I'm wasting my breathe... I just really don't know what to do, I'm scared, and need help and I feel like he doesn't wanna risk anything by moving here when I really need him. am I overreacting??? btw don't get me wrong, I'm beyond grateful for him, with everything he does, and all the financial support he provides, but I've never been "taken care of" (for lack of better words) and I would rather work too, just to have him here to help me and be with his daughter and sometimes I feel like that's not an option to him... it's really depressing me and scaring me. don't be afraid to tell me if I sound like a spoiled bitch or something, I honestly need yalls HONEST OPINION. 😞
