I have been EBF for 5 months and counting and I don't have an interest in pacifiers or bottles! And my daughter doesn't like them anyway!! Totally your choice momma!

I think that is a perfectly fine thing to do! It is your baby, entirely your decision. I'm going to be breastfeeding but I plan to use a pacifier and bottle if needed, but I still really respect your decision not to!

There are plenty of other things good for teething. Baltic Amber teething necklaces have natural pain relieving properties (they aren't for chewing, they're just for wearing), and celery is good for teething. I would treat my nephew with sugar free ice pops when he went through his teething stages. Look it up, there are plenty of things for teething than pacifiers, plus it's not cute when kids have weirdly formed mouths because of thumb sucking or pacifiers.

I strictly didn't want to use a pacifier but the hospital gave my son one on the last day there. I was mad about it but it helped us the first 2 weeks home. My son would only suck on it for a few mins, calm down and spit it out. He's almost 5 months now and will only suck on a pacifier for a few minutes once in a blue moon. I am happy he isn't "addicted" to one though!

It's your baby, so it's your choice. :) You may want to use bottles eventually though, so others can feed baby while you rest or shower or drive, etc, but if you want to exclusively breastfeed, then more power to you. Pacifiers are unnecessary though. And some babies don't even take them.
