had my doctor appt today and it's official. I'm scheduled for a c section May 23rd unless he decides to come sooner. only 10 more weeks, please come by fast. I'm super nervous about the procedure, but super excited to see my little boy. anyone who has had a c section please, I need all the advice and help I can get so I know what to be ready and what look forward for.

All I have to say is don't refuse medicine after the procedure. I tried w/ my 1st c section and it was horribke. Also ask ur doc to prescribe ur meds before u go in so u are able to go str8 home instead of having to go to the pharmacy after the hospital &/or sending the hubby to pick them up.

@nichole_lynn, that's a good idea. I don't know why I didn't think of it before.

my husband helped me a lot. I didn't lift a car seat until about two or three weeks after baby was born, well with him in it. I usually kept it in the car and carried him to it. @lilbabyboy16

@nichole_lynn, how long after were you able to pick up your baby in the car seat? I don't want to do anything that will tear it.. that helps a lot

@booboolanii, I have something called placenta valementose, where the cord is hooked on to the side of the placenta where the membranes are which makes the umbilical cord weak and harder for the baby to get the food. if I get some type of spotting, water breaks or contractions I have to go into the ER asap because the cord can easily pop off from the placenta from too much stress being put on it.

don't freak out and be calm, focus on your breathing during the procedure, the meds make it feel like its hard to breath. after its done, take your time to heal, but walking a lot really helps with the process. @lilbabyboy16
