pregnant woman can take vidodin in the 3 trimester, drugs prescribed that cause possible birth defects I'm the first trimester..I was so against pot use during pregnancy until I researched it and it is in the same category as all the other meds I took for morning sickness. I do not smoke but I think it isn't harmful or least anymore harmful then the meds they prescribed me. it also so crazy to see everyone agree.
marijuana isn't harmful to the baby but it's still illegal in some states and I know in Wisconsin they test the baby's first poop so Idk if it's worth dealing with all that but I'd look into the laws where you are before you risk cps getting involved.
I work in a medical marijuana dispensary in Arizona and we have a fantastic medical director (mj doctor) who I spoke with about the issue of inhaling, injecting, vaping marijuana etc etc during pregnancy (since now I'm pregnant. I quit but I was curious). Of course, it's a plant and it has many wonderful cannabanoids that help with conditions all across the book, notoriously with nausea. He told me that the safest way to dose with marijuana during pregnancy would be edibles. Vaping is always an option if you wish to still smoke. However (not saying smoking it is terribly bad) when you directly light flower and burn it, you're inhaling butane from the lighter itself and you're lowering how much oxygen you receive with each hit. He said it's not nearly as bad as smoking a cigarette which has over 4000 known carcinogens, but that risk is still up in the air as to how mj affects pregnant women and babies. I know a lot of women who smoked their whole pregnancy and did fine of course. But i figured I would share this with you lovely ladies to shed some insight :)
as far as legal concerns it really depends how cool your doctor and nurses are about it, some are fine with it others will call child services which would result in them coming to your house regularly for two years after you have the baby. I didn't see a doctor so I can't recommend anyone @angilovesmarti
It's kind of stupid how they say 'any kind of smoke is bad for your baby' no. You are inhaling a plant. If God didn't want it to be smoked it wouldn't be have been a plant. And there is no known disadvantage of smoking weed while pregnant. In my book it's not even a drug, it's a plant. Its not even addictive and it's a bullshit reason it isn't legal everywhere.
I never heard nothing bad about smoking weed if your pregnant even though I don't smoke or drink but I heard it only makes your baby come out to be a crybaby from smoking weed idk how true it's different for every woman but I know my aunt smoked and one of her sons came out a cry baby
legally they cannot test you for drugs unless they give you more Tha 24 hour notice. hi estly my friend smoked her entire pregnancy and her baby is 100% healthy. my doctor said if I wanted to I could go seek out a doctor who would prescribe it to me because of my anxiety but she herself didn't know the side affects so she wouldn't. but she even said medically she hasn't seen any issues
my friends smoked through out their pregnancy and their were born healthy and advanced. I smoked only a few times when I experienced morning sickness to the point I couldn't keep anything down and it helped with that but my husband and I decided that there isn't any concrete studies done on the longterm effects it has on the developing child. there's one done in Jamaica but only with a handful of women, not enough to conclude or rule out anything. anyway I chose to discontinue smoking. taking smoke in isn't good in general, vaping weed or eating low dose edibles would be the preference. however if you are going to smoke I suggest getting a hemp wick so you don't inhale any butane, also holding the flame above the herb so as to not burn it directly- aiming to vape it that way but it takes a while
I live in northern Cali with all three I smoked for the first 4-5 months of pregnancy helped my nausea and anxiety problems also relaxed me enough to have a good sleep I have never had a Dr tell me not to they have never brought it up
if it's legal where you are and your doctor knows I think it's a great way to help your nausea and sickness. I would just avoid it if it's not legal where you are. things can get messy and you could lose your baby.
I only do one puff here and there i never smoke it's weird to@me so , but my friend is a doctor and he just told me to lay off the weed hits because it affects active oxygen transfer and then those molecules mess up too and chemicals
i blazed it until i was like 4 months pregnant cuz thats when i found out :/ but after that i stopped but my daughters dad would always smoke around me throughout my pregnancy & my daughter came out fine actually
