Why are some of us told to fast before the glucose test and some aren't? I was told nothing but water after midnight. I'll be hangry by the end of that appointment!

my doctor told me to only eat healthy carbs like plain toast or eggs and not to eat sugary cereals or poptarts before it
I do my sugar test next week but don't have a set time to come in. They told me if I come in of a morning to not have anything after midnight the night before and if I come in in the afternoon/evening that I can eat two hours before the test.
Ugh that's just torture telling a pregnant woman she can't eat
I go take mine tomorrow at 8:15, and I was told nothing to eat or drink after 12.. I'm gonna starve. 😭😂

I do, too! I was not a bread person until I got pregnant....now I have to have a bagel as soon as I get up! @07jessica

No way would I make it that long! I'd throw up....hope my dr doesn't make me fast 😢
My glucose test isn't until 230 pm, they said I can eat a light lunch but nothing sugary.
I just did mine today and my paper work said no fasting necessary. My dr didn't say anything either. Very curious. 🤔🤔
