2 night at the hospital, fiance stayed this time to help. he's slept more than me :/ he won't even aaks up if babe cries. I'm running off maybe 3 hours in the past 2 nights.
his excuse is he's tired and sore from sleeping in the chair. well sorry I'm tired and sore from pushing a kid out my vagina, having to be cut down there, a shit ton of swelling, not being able to pee and having to be hooked up to that pee bag thing all day, barely sleeping cause of the discomfort... but ya I have this "comfy" hospital bed 😒
men are weird... hate to say it but sometimes they feel over well med. some aren't comfortable being around babies when they are so young. my dad still gets antys with my son and he 3 months old. give it time. I know its really hard but trust me I feel your pain. I take care of my son all day and night only time I get a break is when I see family but at end of the day I just tell my self my son will always have a special bond with me and he'll never forget who was there for him.
My husband didn't wake up once either....I had a c section and had a hard time getting up to get my daughter! I used the nurses as much as I could to help me when I was still at the hospital !!
my husband didn't stay with me to sleep. he went home for both so I didn't sleep much. but he made up for it when we got home.
This sounded like my fiancé when our daughter was born! I had to lay flat for 24hrs after having her because they messed up on my epidural. I threw every pillow on my bed that I had at him to wake him up because he was the only one that could pick up, change & sooth her as I wasn't allowed to move! Having a new baby brings out a different relationship between you & your significant other. I'm hoping things will get better for you ❤️
I had a csection and couldn't barely get out of bed, my fiance stayed at the hospital but Eli started cry and he didn't wake up, it took me nearly 20 minutes to get out of bed and I waddled over to my fiance and punched him in the hip ( after previously laying in bed yelling at him and throwing things at him, trying to get him up)
men don't have the same instinct we have and it's difficult for them to be able to wake up just to babes crying, Eli is now nearly 4 months old and I still have to roll over and tap on my fiance to wake him up when it's his nights with Eli
