My prayer is that my baby boy will start progressing so he can come home, he's already jumped through so many hurdles in 6 days... now if only he'll start gaining weight. :'(
I understand the using formula but to have me understanding they were mixing it is the big ordeal.
I know there were some pretty negligent nurses there yesterday, just yammering on about Tom, Dick, Harry and their dog rather than being attentive to the other babies in the nursery. I was sitting in the family room with my boy and hear "Well... Guess we better go feed them twins...." like it was a hindrance to their job. :/
Are you f**king kidding?! I'd be so pisses!! Is there a charge nurse you can talk to? Because that's bullshit. Do they have a freezer at your nicu that they can store your milk at? They should have asked you permission first before starting formula especially if you had breastmilk there.
So, since my SO works tomorrow and my 11 mth old is going to the sitter. I'm going to the hospital extra early to sit and be with him and making sure he's getting properly taken care of.
@kimberlyyyy, so my son has over 30 ounces of breast milk just sitting there for whenever they feel like giving it to him. He started gaining weight back when he was getting it. Now he's losing again?
I was told that they were and his nurse looked at me funny today when I brought in more breast milk for him. She told me they've been feeding him FORMULA bottles and if he's still hungry, they give him my breast milk. Talk about being livid. Then she said that she was looking for the fortifier and couldn't find it.
Yeahhhhh is be flipping the F out on those nurses. Ask who the charge nurse is (if they don't write it on a board or notify you normally) and talk to them about what you're experiencing in your nicu because I feel like none of that is okay
