My boyfriend wants to get rid of my dog because it jumps up on me when he's excited and he's been trying to steal my babies clothes and things that I've bought. He's still a puppy but he's a BIG boy lol he has a lot of energy and it's getting harder and harder for me to play with him because I'm so tired and busy getting ready. My bfs argument is I'm treating my dog like a baby by taking him to go potty 2 times in the middle of the night and waking up at 6 am to walk him and feed him and "I need more rest" because im constantly trying to keep his energy down and training him so I don't have to give him away. he's afraid the dog will jump up on the baby or take my baby's blankets when it comes. Ugh it makes me sick thinking about getting rid of my baby beast.

how old is he? they r smart dogs they take a little hard when u trained them but it gets better. When he jumps on u turn around immediately n he will ignore it so he wont jump again... now for the babies clothes put them in a place where he cant reach not visible. Buy chewing toys since he.may b going through teething. Good luck

Feeling terrible but I have to get rid of my dog! Dog jumped on the couch on top of me and scratched my poor baby on the face. I can't leave him in his bouncer or swing because she tries jumping on him, and always wakes him up. As much as I love my dog, the well being of my baby comes first, so she has to go! 😡

Please keep rude comments to yourself.. But me and my husband are taking our dog back to the shelter tomorrow because she's having A LOT of trouble transitioning into family life.. Barking and jumping, jumping on me, jumping and growling at neighbourhood kids.. I'm just afraid that she's not going to do well with the boys once they're born and I feel really guilty but I feel like trying to find a more calm family like dog would be best... 😞 I just feel terrible.. I'm not one to give up on a dog. Am I wrong for doing this???

Family friendly guard dogs? Which are the best? We were planning on getting a new dog but after reading that Peeping Tom post a few days ago, I now know it needs to be a good guard dog/protector of my babies!!
