OMG my boyfriend does the same shit, not while smoking but he will constantly, and I mean CONSTANTLY be falling asleep and I'll be like BABE go to bed PLEASE and he's like I'm not asleep I'm just resting. It especially bothers me when he asks if I wanna watch a movie then when we start watching one he immediately falls asleep. I swear to god it annoys me more than anything lol

I've been there with my hubby so we just made a rule no smoking in the bedroom. this after we had a small fire because he fell asleep while smoking. We were living at his father's house at the time and they smoked in the house too. another thing is get a new blanket to sleep with since the one you have now has sentiment value.

and who am I to make him quit smoking when I myself am a smoker? that's hypocritical. we will be smoking outside our own home when we get it. I do intend on going back to smoking in decency after my pregnancy is over. just not in my child's face. until then. his mother pays for this house bc it's hers. if she wants to smoke in it, she can. but I'm not the type to make my boyfriend quit something. unless it's illegal drug activiry. which is way worse than a house smelling like cigarettes... just saying

@jennyrose1145, not my place to make such a demand in his mother's home. she smokes. and it doesn't bug me. like I said. my son is healthy, I'm healthy. I just don't want anymore burns in my bed and in my mother's blanket.

it is hard to quit.. I have tried quitting before being pregnant and stopped for months and started again. Congrats to you for stopping!!! :D you go guuurlll!!

I don't let my dh smoke in the apartment anymore. I'm not having my baby stuff smelling like smoke. Tell him to take that shit outside! Then tell him that second hand smoke can be transferred by smokey clothes and since the baby will be constantly against him he needs to quit by the time the baby is born. And think of all the money he'll save too. It's a sacrifice but it's for your kid.

I had to keep smoking and learn how to ween myself off of cigarettes in this pregnancy. before I even knew I was pregnant, I was a 3 pack a day smoker. as well as everytime I've quit smoking cold turkey, I miscarried. my ob told me quitting with that much nicotine in my system before hand would do more damage than smoking as a whole bc at that point. my son was already used to the nicotine. I successfully quit asking a whole when i was 32 weeks pregnant. now I'm 38, and if I do get an urge to smoke I take one small drag and I'll be fine. @babynumber1

wow! that's one reason I'm glad that there's a strict no smoking rule in our house.. I used to smoke before I got pregnant, but I stopped. if I get WAY TOO stressed I'll hit a cig one time. which I've only done that a hand full of times since I've been pregnant. I quit cold turkey after smoking about a pack a day and my doctors actually got on me for stopping suddenly because it's unsafe and can cause blood pressure issues. I haven't had a problem, thankfully.

@cass_lynne, it doesn't bother me and my baby is perfectly healthy. I smoked the majority of this pregnancy. what annoys me is all the holes he's burned into my deceased mother's blanket and our bed.
