I need some help! I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl on Tuesday morning at 5 am, so it's been a little over 4 days... When I gave birth, I tore on the side of my vagina and it has been horrifyingly painful with a burning sensation pretty much all the time... Is this normal and how long should it be burning like this? It hurts to the point of almost screaming when I pee and I have a very high pain tolerance!

@katrinacurry, I was never giving dermoplast. just warm water in a spray bottle. everytime you pee, or even while you pee, spray yourself with it. my sister in law used an anti itch spray. you want to spray your vagina from a far, not to close. I would also call your obgyn. she can tell you more then I can.

I tore posterior and they didn't give me a spray bottle or any numbing spray. it was hell. I dealt with the pain during peeing but eased discomfort with pads that had aloe and witch hazel put in the freezer! As grody as it is, there were even times I would only pee in the shower 😰

@kelseys, I looked at it and it doesn't look infected at all... I think it must just be the healing process @shannaa24 okay that's what I'm going to keep doing... When using dermoplast, are you supposed to spray it directly on your vagina or onto the pad?

like the other ladies said, which hazel pads, and use water while going pee. what I did that helped a lot since it was on the side, I rolled up a bunch of paper towels, and held it on the spot so the pee didn't touch it.

I tore to when I gave birth to my daughter. They should of gave you a squeezy water bottle so after or while you pee squirt warm water to ease the burning.

Get some witch hazel pads. They'll keep you cool and help a lot with swelling.
