Out of curiosity when did you decide/when did you go off work for maternity leave? I was hoping to make it until April 17 (38 weeks) but am thinking of going off on sick leave at 36 weeks start of April instead...

I'm officially done work on the 26! Sick leave for a few weeks until little one is here. seems more real

I'm going to hire someone to come in and help out so that will help me out!! Ya your back and feet must be killing you at this point :(

I didn't know about sick leave beforehand! I work on my feet and it's getting very hard and making me cranky really hahah. I could use the month of rest before he comes :)
running a home daycare must be exhausting! take some time for yourself when you can :) @brynsmommie

I went at 34 weeks! I wanted some time to myself before the baby came! It was so nice to sleep and go for walks and organize the room and go visit my husband at work, see friends and family before all the craziness starts! I think you should go for it at 36 weeks and enjoy that final month :) :) :)

Paternity leave How much time did your S/O take off of work when you had a baby? Luckily I live in California so we have 6 weeks paid paternity leave (55%), but my S/O is getting s*** at work for taking 4 weeks. It's honestly infuriating that people are asking why he needs so much time off and "he's not going to be taking care of the baby the whole time". Umm it's called BONDING LEAVE. It's such bull s*** how people expect dad's to take way less time off as if it's not their kid too. Dad's deserve time off with their new babies too. Just had to rant about this ?
