I had a miscarriage at 7 1/2 weeks 6 weeks ago. A week ago I started getting faint positives on test at home so my obgyn ran test and my hcg beta came back at 28. 48 hours later it had only gone down to 27. She said she wasn't sure if it was a new pregnant and it was ectopic or left over tissue from the mc but that my numbers shouldn't be lowering that slow... And to come back again Monday for another blood draw.
Anyone have anything similar? I feel like I just want answers now and they should be doing an ultrasound.

I had a miscarriage last year I kept taking tests afterwards that was showing positive but it wasn't a new pregnancy later they started coming back negative

How long after the mc did they turn negative?

It was a couple of weeks but yours may be different you may be pregnant again @mandijoy

@mandijoy, here's my experience. I had a miscarriage the beginning of October. beginning of November I realized my period hadnt shown up and I symptoms of pregnancy, well I thought maybe the MC affected my periods. so i waited another week. finally took a pregnancy test and guess what It was positive. I wasn't sure if it was my body being weird so called Dr. they did 3 days of blood work then had me come in for ultra sound since my numbers were going like they should. sure enough I was pregnant. and from what ultra sound says I got pregnant 2 days after the bleeding stopped from my MC. even my doctor can't explain it. it was meant to happen. I even remember the night we had sex and aparently got pregnant lol. i was Pist he came inside me cuz we decided not to try for a while. I even douched right after sex. and stil got pregnant. and here I am 22 weeks later with the most healthy little girl

I don't wanna get your hopes cuz what happened to me is very rare. even my dr said i can't explain why you ovulated so quickly after a MC. but good luck!!

can you share some of your early sign of miscarriage with me? Ive gone online to read what I can, but it is only making me insane and heartbroken. I have an appointment tomorrow to check up on my worries.

I ovulated quickly after both my miscarriages.

I got my hopes up thinking I was pregnant again but since the hcg is so low and went down from 28 to 27 I know it's not going to be a viable pregnancy. I just don't know if it's going to be left over mc tissue or a ectopic pregnancy. Either way it won't be my rainbow baby this time.

@jen2086277, are you suspecting you are miscarrying? With my first one ( which was a very early mc) it started with mild cramps and spotting and within the day was heavy bleeding.
Which this miscarriage at 71/2 weeks I went in for an ultrasound and my obgyn said it didn't look good so sent me in for blood work and it was 2200 and 48 hours it had dropped to 1900. A few days later I started bleeding and having cramping. Blood work can definitely be the first indicator of a miscarriage. How far along are you?
