I only can take 12 weeks out on maternity 6 of which are paid from my job and disability the other 6 just from disability. anyone heard or taken a year off????????

I thought it was 8 weeks off for disability if you had a C-section I was only given 6 and also can I apply for Family leave after and when? I was told the 16th of August to go back to work from disability

so because I am going to be working from home due to physical disabilities from military services I decided to make these from home so myself and other moms can have cute and fashionable jewelry without worrying about teething baby chewing on one and hurting their sensitive little gums

I only get 8 weeks only two are paid but it's my entire vacation. I think Google is the only US company that does a year. If you move over seas it is customary to get 1 year.

8 weeks... omg! I have vacation, personal and sick time different from my maternity leave which is essentially longterm disability

so in all I can take my 12 weeks Maternity, 80hrs of vacation and 64 hrs or personal and what ever sick time I have so only like 18 weeks in total almost 5 months

Yeah I've heard than people who live in Canada also get to take a year off, paid time off I think? not sure. but the US just isn't that lucky I guess.

it really is. I know what I'm doing personally but I made my decision based on the type of job I have. I'm putting in my notice next month. I work at a distribution center and there's a lot of heavier lifting and bending and all that. I don't feel safe the bigger I get.

no I havent. I started working there in august and then found out I was pregnant in october. I really don't have any options I guess.
