Is anyone else seriously thinking about getting their tubes tied after this pregnancy? I planned…

My mom is planning to get hers tied. She's been using the iud and wants to get rid of that.

I am. Talk to your obgyn every state has laws on how old you must be or how many children you must have before they will tie your tubes.

@bellahali, I had the iud for 4 and a half years before I started trying. I actually liked it a lot. And it was super easy to take out (I did it at home). I just would rather not be on any birth control after this baby. Two kids is more than enough for me.

@indigenousmommy, you would think they can't stop you from getting your tubes tied if that's what you want. I don't think it's right. But I know I've heard one reason is that they feel you are not "mature" enough until you are past a certain age. I know they just changed the law about it in Florida last year I believe. It used to be 2 or three kids or be 24 or older. Not sure now. I had mirena for 3 years took it out on my own no issues. Stupidly didn't think I would get pregnant immediately but I did and with twins at that.

@34466, wow, that's the same thing that happened to me. I got pregnant after 2 periods. Lol I looked it up and the age for MN is 21, but you have to be deemed "competent." Nothing mentioned how many kids you have.
