Ladies I need advice! Baby girl is a little over 24-hours old and all she wants to do is sleep. The nurse keeps saying feed her every 2-3 hours. She barely responds to me!

Opinions on hungrier baby milk? My girl is drinking well over 30 oz in 24 hours. I tried her with water inbetween feeds but she just won't settle in till she has milk as she's hungry not thirsty. She's awake like 18 hours a day 😭

Lily Alzane made her entrance at 820 this morning♡ 28 hours of labor.. it was exhausting and complete hell, but shes here and healthy♡
She finally made her arrival! 7.5 pounds. Pushed for one hour and she was out! We are in love ❤ ❤ ❤

I always had to work to wake them. I felt mean, but I would change diaper, undress them to make them cold, tickle feet/back, just something to rile them up/make them mad

Undress her down to her diaper turn on the lights and play with her to wake her up is what my nurses said. @myreaofsunshine

The nurses are pushy when your at the hospital the baby is tired from making their entrance into the world so you don't have to wake the baby to feed them. The baby will let you know by crying that they are hungry

Try to make her eat. I know they want to sleep but the longer she goes without eating, the more weight she'll lose. My first son lost 10oz in his first 3 days of life and he was tired. Had to take him back to the hospital.
