So I heard some people on a page I follow on Facebook sayings sonograms are bad for the baby? If there bad for the baby then why do they do them? Is it true??
Well ultrasounds are NOT radiation and are not harmful to you or your unborn baby! Sorry I've been in school for this for 4 years.
Thank you and trust me I won't! lol but it's 2 mins till 1 here too, but of course I can't sleep like always @motheroftwojk
ohhh no problem , I just seen the post && her posts on my news feeds and those are definitely directed towards someone not just general information but you ladies don't let that ruin your night/morning lol its 1AM here @laykstonsmommy
@gypsy.soul2, its not a general post if your referring to these young ladies && posting about them your really being rude about a question , yes everyone has there own opinion so respect it and you will be fine
Thank you @motheroftwojk I wasn't to worried about it for me I just have a friend who gets them done often since she has had multiple miscarriages before and I was concerned for her, and just wanted to know what every one else has heard on it.
iv heard to many can harm but like @dang_dridri stated if its not a everyday ultrasound "unlikely" then your baby will be fine. Some people are being rude about a QUESTION we all have our opinions and that's what they are OPINIONS but Google is definitely not a doctor can't Google everything ask your doctor at your next appointment
@gypsy.soul2, thank you but there was no reason to make a whole post about it, I was just asking a simple question but thanks anyways
Yeah, I'm high risk because my twins are in the same sac so I have one done every two weeks and my high risk doctor is actually the one that explained it to me because I heard thing and I asked. But no you're fine, I don't think people are getting one everyday.
there is no radiation in an ultrasound, fact. I've had over 20 ultrasounds with both my pregnancies.. if there were threats then there wouldn't be US clinics that offered ultrasounds for out of pocket price. @laykstonsmommy
Thank y'all, I just had seen that and was curious because I had never heard of anything before that but there is risk with almost anything now a but I just had never heard of sonograms bring a risk but it does make since with the radiation but I have a friend who gets them often because she has multiple miscarriages in the past so it had me worried @renny_rayye16 @dang_dridri @alyssabrittany @polkadotcutie
They are bad because it can possibly cause the cells to change or not grow right. it's highly unlikely but like everything else there's a risk.
Some people say there's like a small risk something about the heat from the wand or something, but I don't think there's ever been real evidence behind it causing any problems, also most women with high risk pregnancy have ultra sounds every few weeks, I'm sure if it was harmful they wouldn't do it for pregnancies that were already high risk.
Too much radiation is bad is for the baby. Sonograms and ultrasounds use radiation but that's why they try to limit those as much as possible, it's only harmful when excessively overused. Like if you use a fetal doppler everyday.
I've had three done and I don't think anything is wrong. I paid for a private scan tho.. but idk honestly. this is the first time I've heard this
Some of the people on there was saying my doctor would only limit 2 and I was thinking I'm going back for my 3rd one in 2 months but I had never heard it but it kind of just had me wondering @renny_rayye16
@gypsy.soul2, I know I will Hunny , you have a blessed day ok ??
