So, it happened yesterday, but I'm still irked about it. I started my pregnancy at 140. I remained active ate healthy, but now that I'm at the end, I can only be so active Plus, ever since that Burger King shake, me and mint chocolate chip flavored things are inseperable. When I went to get weighed yesterday, I was 153. The nurse leaned in and whispers "you should really be 150". First off, ma'am, I'm willing to bet 100 dollars if your ass got on this scale, you'd come in heavier than a 9 month pregnant woman. Who are you to tell me what I "should" be?! Second off, I've gained 13 fucking pounds. You're really going to tell me I'm 3 lbs "over weight"??

Oh my gosh! That would make me so angry! I've gained 12 pounds at almost 23 weeks pregnant! Sounds like you're doing great to me!

@harperkatesmommy, she's not the greatest nurse. she said "that's retarded" when I told her how stressful getting my medical records transferred was. Like maak, you work in a doctors office, is that REALLY the best wording you could use?

I'm almost to 34 weeks and they keep telling me I'm not gaining enough. I started at 142 and I'm 157 now so right at 15 pounds.

I've gained 26 pounds at 30 weeks. I think I would've told her aloud what I was thinking lol. People have no clue what they are saying.

@id1444354, I'm pretty sure they recommend like 20 through out the pregnancy. I wasn't overweight to start with, I'm 5'6". like I don't get how they can say one person is gaining too much and another not enough. if the baby is growing and you're still healthy, who cares???

Exactly! I just try not to let what they say about my weight bother me, as long as baby is healthy it's good.

@baby6aryn, it just caught me completely off guard. not that I need flattery, but I don't need a fucking nurse who's not my doctor giving me advice when I didn't ask. I laughed it off and got in the room and was like "she actually said that to me!!!!"
