neither of mine like them, but my oldest who's 3 now, still sucks her thumb. I wish she had a paci I could just throw away. she's ruining her teeth :/

if you have trouble latching at all I would focus on perfecting that first. one you've reached the point where she latches perfect no problem every time, I would start introducing a bottle.

but if your baby takes a paci and the breast both with no problem then a bottle shouldn't be a problem. (mine hates pacis so we struggled with bottles for a bit. she's just a big titty baby and gets angry about not getting her boob though haha. she takes bottles but she gets pissy about it lol)

I bought mine on amazon.

they're not exactly cheap, so I would start out with 1 or 2 newborn bottles, they're almost $11 a piece. but they are really good. but if baby doesn't like them, she doesn't like them. so I would only buy a couple and if she does like them, then buy more later. that's what I did.

you seem like you're upset about choosing to formula feed, I would say at least try to nurse for the first few weeks. if you can make it to 6 weeks it would be sooo much better for her immune system, because breast milk makes antibodies to fight off all sicknesses she is exposed to. (we had the flu go around our house starting the day after aurora was born, everyone including my grandparents got it but she didn't.)

but if you can't do it don't feel guilty. I only nursed my 1st to 6 weeks and gave up.

nursing may hurt at first but once you get the latch right it doesn't hurt at all. and as long as you nurse on demand you should make plenty of milk. it's also entirely possibly to nurse and give bottles. I have the Adiri nursing bottles and they're awesome. no nipple confusion at all :)

absolutely, they sell bottles just for that... I think they suggest you wait for about 4 weeks but you can talk to a lactation consultant about your specific situation

😂😂 I'll definitely try pumping before I give her formula, can I maybe switch back and forth?? that's the issue is I would need to be able to give her bottles

you are welcome... you could do what @theinkedbarbie is doing and pump, I did for my son... I will say that even tho it's not a baby latched it can still hurt to pump all the time.... and hopefully your so doesn't say "gotta go book bessie up" when to time for you to pump lol I go so used to him saying that that I actually named my new pump bessie

girl if a bottle is what works for your family then so be it.... if baby is fed that's what's best for her

@theinkedbarbie I think that's what I'm going to go is give booger the colostrum and then switch, it's just not something that is going to fit in out life at this point:( breaks my heart but like you said gotta do what I have to do. I saw you struggling and it makes me sad hopefully you can pump:(
