Another question (god I'm annoying). Okay, so I am 17 years old and I live with my boyfriend and his parents. My boyfriend is 20 & works a full time job, as well do both of his parents. I do not work, and I am a minor. I have recently decided to not breastfeed and id like to apply for wic for formula assistance. My question is, am I able to do that? Keep in mind I am a minor, but I do not live at my home nor do I have any type of income.
i didn't, but i also had medicaid before i had wic & i had to provide proof of pregnancy for that @goodbyelullaby
Yeah my parents made too much money for me to qualify for it and caresource for the baby but when I went in and talked to them and filled out the app it all went through fine...I don't know if the person doing paperwork can make some sort of exceptions...
i was 17 when i got pregnant too, just call your wic office & make an appointment to get your wic card
you just need some crap like proof of address, ID, & your social security number
Yeah it's just that my parents make way too much money for me to get wic through them. I could only get it through myself since I have no income. My boyfriends parents also make too much money for me to qualify. I qualify since I make no money but I'm also a minor which I've read can make it harder. @akelly16 @mommyof2016
I don't know how it is there, but I know in PA you would definitely get approved for it. WIC helps out every mom who doesn't have a job regardless of age.
when I was 16 I had to have my parents with me to get my son insurance through caresource and they had to sign all of my WIC papers for me to get signed up...that was 10 years ago it could be different now tho I would just call them
you have to have some sort of income, typically your boyfriend or one of his parents can write a note saying you get paid $10 a week or whatever amount monthly weekly etc and that takes care of your income, your parent might need to sign a form at the office since you are a minor, but this is based off Indiana's wicked requirements.
