My advice would be do skin to skin the first 24 hours to help your milk come in and limit visitors so you can bond with baby. I recommend Earth Mama nipple butter and disposable breast pads (or buy washable if you prefer to do laundry more often). Also, don't pump until 4-6 weeks once breastfeeding is well established to avoid oversupply which can lead to an infection such as mastitis. Also, take a breastfeeding class and read a book about breastfeeding.

Be patient with your baby if you plan breastfeeding. i just had mines 1 week ago and yeah he didnt latch on very well at first, he would cry alot. But few days ago he started gettting better. I told them I was not going to feed him breastmilk and so far i havent.

There's formula for supplementing that you mix with the breast milk if you have to do that. I would find your local Le Leche League where they have free meetings every week with lactation consultants and nurses there to help you. Many women bring their newborns to the meetings to meet with the consultants on any kind of latching problems. Keep in mind that your baby may have a lip or tongue tie (or both) and that will make it very very difficult for him/her to suck unless you get it clipped at the ENT

I hope not too. Breast milk is better for baby!! I get disposable ones just because it's easier for me. The target brand ones work just fine, but if you want to get washable ones then Medela is a good brand.

If he isn't getting enough milk then you'll either need to pump and have him be on a bottle from time to time or substitute with formula (I don't recommend that) but if it's necessary then you gotta do what you gotta do. For the nipple cream My Breast Friend is good and Honest company makes a good nipple cream as well.

You'll need nipple pads for sure and nipple cream. If you're planning on pumping also then you'll need a breast pump. My only advice is don't get discouraged because moms have told me over and over that sometimes baby doesn't take to breast feeding right away. So you have to work on it with him/her.
