has anyone applied for child care or already have it? like through workforce or whatever is it where your at. does the childs father have to pay for it? how does it work. tia.

He needs to really step up as a father. Maybe not a neighbor? Do you have Childrens Council where you live?
I don't have anyone at all. and he doesn't really come around only when it's convenient for him...or when he has time or as he said today "depends on the day." I don't even know where he lives and I wouldn't trust him with her very much. we had the discussion about me going to work and him taking care of her but he hasn't been around so....and yeah I have but when they calculated how much it would be it wasn't very much and it wouldn't help much. God idk what to do. @andrewsmommy
Better call him and tell him to get on it! No family can watch her part time? Or he can't? Thats his daughter if he's not going to help with rent the least he can do is watch her so you can work. Have you ever considered child support?
damn...my child's father up and left and I really need to get a job to support me and her. he said he was going to continue to pay rent and what not until we got shit figured out but the landlord came today and suprise suprise he didn't pay it and he didn't pay last month either. @andrewsmommy
Where I'm at (SF California) the baby gets put on a waiting list and its one persons income. So in my case actually, our son is on a waiting list right now. 6 month wait and we just signed him up in Dec. I'm not working and his dad is so his dad will be paying for day care once he gets put in. I'll be starting city college in June for summer and the college has a daycare which is free for students so he'll be with me :) But I would still like a job.

in Illinois its called Action for Children. but anyways you go to the place kind of like a public aid office and fill out the paper work but before hand you have to find a day care that accepts it and has room for your child. we don't have a waiting list but it does take about a month to process and its usually the person signing up that pays, which shouldn't be that much. to put my son in day care it would cost me $12 a week because the child for action pays the rest.
