Baby girl just will NOT burp. Tried over the shoulder, sitting up, on the belly, massaging the spine. She's only 6 days…

or while burping her, rub her back too. but she may just not have gas. her tummy hard at all?

Yeah, I've tried all that. She's always gassy...she farts a lot though.

if she won't burp odds are she doesn't have to, if she's breast fed she wont burp as much as a formula/bottle fed baby

well if she farts a lot she probably won't burp a lot. totally normal.

just keep doing what youre doing but if she doesnt after 10-15 min then she should be fine unless she seems in pain

Awww poor thing...she should be okay if she doesn't seem too upset about it, sometimes they just don't have to burp! You could always try bicycling her legs to move around the air bubbles, may come out as a fart or if you sit her up again afterwards she may be able to burp....I wouldn't worry too much though, my girl sometimes just doesn't burp, or she'll burp a bit later on her own 😜

we have to burp after every ounce to prevent mass spit ups :/ It's a pain, when he doesn't spit up right away while burping, he will after we lay him down.

@dropdeadmeg, yup...that's exactly what happens to us! I have to hold her for a good 20 minutes after she eats if she doesn't burp so I can catch the spit up. It terrifies me if she spits up laying down. And she's done it since she was in the hospital.

@dropdeadmeg, enfamil newborn. I'm trying not to switch until her 1st appointment but I feel so bad for her.
