how much did your guys engagement rings cost ?

Price shouldn't matter. What should matter is the meaning behind the ring itself, what it stands for, and who buys it for you.

We were fortunate enough that my engagement ring was a family ring passed down over 60 years, and the band was custom made from my mother in law's old jewelry. The set has sentimental value and no dollar sign would ever be able to replace my ring.

this is mine :D my hubby paid about $200 five years ago i think...we had hust had our son and had no money, we didn't have real rings when we got married but that christmas he suprised me with this. to me it's the story and the thought behind it that makes it priceless to me. at 10 years we get more expensive rings but not till then :)

Mine hasn't even been officially 'given' to me yet but I know about it because he couldn't wait to show me lol, it was like 3,400. I never would have asked or picked something so pricy but he said he fell in love with it.

I got married 7 years ago yesterday and both of my rings together were about $200 and last year I went to look and the one I picked was $300 so I upgraded a little. It isn't about the ring to me.

my boyfriend let me pick out a ring today and I picked out a 100.00 one cause we have so much to buy before the baby gets here and I said next tax year he could get me something more pricey. @rgaine

Don't go with the 3 month rule people talk about- it was made up by a diamond company's marketing folks years ago. Diamonds are worth next to nothing when you sell them back.

My engagement ring & band were a set for $2000.

My engagement ring and wedding band were my mothers. ❤️ my husband and I were very fortunate she wanted to share it with us as my something old. Now it's an heirloom. We only had to purchase his wedding band.

The rule is 3 months wage is how much the ring should be. Mine was 1400 though... he bought it on a cruise ship so it's probably worth more since he got a good deal on it
