my week old son has a diaper rash and I've been making sure he is clean and dry, and I've been applying Desitin to his toosh. it's been about 2-3 days. I have a Dr appointment on Wednesday for him but id love input! picture in comments.
I've always used a&d and never had a problem also try letting him lay around with out a diaper for a little bit it'll help a little bit to that's what I had to do with my girls
My son was getting chemical burns from the diapers and we had to switch. We actually ended up cloth diapering because everything we tried for disposables didn't work for him. It can also be the brand of wipes.
I've been using the same brand of diapers that he's been using since he was born. the rash just started up about two days ago. I don't think it's the diaper but I am trying another brand I have here at home, just to be sure. just letting the little boy air out now while he's napping. :) @chewy1228
@mgurmen4495, if your breastfeeding try using that on his bum as well A&D works well it acts as a sealer when wet. Also try using a cool damp towel instead of using wipes and let it get air
coconut oil or aloe from an aloe plant & let him air out a bit even if u just put like a puppy pad under him when he's doing tummy time so he doesn't pee on everything
An oatmeal soothes it too! But like they said ^^ let his bottom breathe as much as possible! Even outside in the fresh air if it's not cold where you are.
thank you so much mommas! I've heard good things about butt paste. I just got desitin at my baby shower so I've been using it. I'm trying another brand of diaper as well, as soon as his bottom is done airing out. thanks again. :) @emily18234 @neni0424 @princess23x
