what looks like cradle cap on a 3 yr Olds head... any ideas? thought of coconut oil...

my daughter got a REALLY dry scalp not too long ago. like where you could pick chunks off and hair would come out stuck to it. I used an old toothbrush to gently massage in coconut oil at night(would try to gently scrape off the dead skin with the toothbrush to get the oil to the good skin)then let her sleep in it and then washed her hair with head and shoulders in the morning. it was better within a couple days of doing that!
