girl I'm an hour & 15 minutes away from the hospital where I have 2 deliver so I want 2 know 2

I don't know when I got induced I was 80% efface and dilated two and then got to 3 after a hour then it took like 10 hours for me to get to 4 then with in second i was at 10 and ready to push. they were also mins away to take me back for c section.

I think it just depend on your body and baby.

well I'm asking because right now I'm no where near dialating. and my ob says I'm 60 percent effaced but not anywhere close to any dialation even though my cervix is sitting low. I started reading up on it as well and everything I've read says that if you stay effaced but no dialation til baby comes that the dialaiting will go by quickly leading up to a fast labor. @lillysmommy

I was 100% effaced and 3cm dilated for weeks... Labor was like 4-5 hours. I pushed for 8 minutes.. I don't think what you heard is true.

People always talking about "I'm __% enfaced and __ cm dilated" ... do the OB supposed to know ? all she tell me is that I'm thinning out , my cervix is far back and I'm 1 cm dilated . She never use the terms I see on here

@xbbycolletto I was 100% (at 27 weeks) effaced for a long time before i dilated and had to go to labor and delivery all the nurses and doctors freaked out and kept asking me if this was my first child because I would not dialat and was having really strong contractions or Braxton hicks

@adevlin2, thin out is effaced and she's using terms where you understand not Doctor terms

Yea I know that thinned out is effaced but I would actually like to know the percentage

@adevlin2, 60 percent effaced is how thinned out I already am. so my cervix is 60 percent thin out of 100 percent. you can be effaced at Any percent

lol omg ! y'all don't understand 🙉 I mean for myself . . I was tryna explain that I'm upset that everyone knows they exact effaced percentage when all my doctor says is "your soft , pretty ,thin* .

...if you don't know right now. they'll most likely tell you more whenever you're in labor. all doctors are different. they don't do everything the way one doctor would do. had your baby dropped yet? @adevlin2

or there's the chance at your 40 weeks appointment you'll find out. mine just tells me this stuff this early because that's how he's always done it @adevlin2
